EPC mission and objectives

Here are a few initial details about EPC. I will visit the Roundhouse for the first time in at least a year tomorrow in order to do some promotion and scouting around. I live a 10 minute walk away from it, and yet attempt to avoid it in that unavoidable way. I can see its state building neighbors when I smoke cigarettes on my stoop.

Why non-partisan, and without overt agenda? Because at any given point in time these are a few of the influences and interests that surround a politician:

When you begin to draw the lines between these influences, you can see that in practice democracy is oftentimes more a game of leveraging power and proliferating one's own message and agenda over fostering genuine dialogue:

It is from this context that I wish to offer free, humane, archetypal advice to anyone in the political sphere who wants it. I believe the tarot is the perfect vehicle for such advice-giving, because it creates a space for meditation and reflection on fundamental human problems and experiences in a site that does not traditionally allow for such contemplation or humanity. The symbolism of the tarot can resonate with the lives of every person, regardless of party, religion, or socioeconomic status, and it offers the potential for human interactions and advice that transcend normal social roles and biases.

Depending on the success of this initial venture, we may wage a 2012 campaign.
